RECIPE : Sausage Baubles

These tiny little tasty appetisers are delicious served with drinks.
They're simple to make and very low in propoints/calories, so you can join in the festive fun.
The idea with my Christmas recipes, is to leave you feeling happy and satisfied, without sabotaging your weight loss or maintenance efforts. With careful planning, there is no reason to either deprive yourself OR over-indulge and undo your good work over this holiday time.
This recipe makes 16 tiny baubles.
Even if you ate them all, it's only 3pp/approx.150 kcal!
However, if you want to save room for some of my other tasty Christmas treats, I'll show you the breakdown depending on how many you eat;

1 Sausage Bauble - 0pp
Up to 8 Sausage Baubles = 1pp/approx.70kcal
Up to 13 Sausage Baubles = 2pp/approx.140kcal

YOU WILL NEED:(For 16 Baubles)

2 Weight Watchers Sausages
(These come to 3pp/120kcal, so if you use an alternative/vegetarian sausage, adjust the pp/calories accordingly).

1 teaspoon Rose Harissa Paste
Fresh, Chopped Coriander
2 Spring Onions
Small Fresh Basil Leaves

Take the sausages out of their skin.
Pop into a bowl with 1 teaspoon of the Harissa paste.

This is a delicious, spicy ingredient made with chilli and rose. You can substitute this for any seasoning of your choice.

Add the chopped coriander and spring onion. Mash and blend together with a fork.

Using a measuring teaspoon, shape 16 tiny baubles out of the mixture. Put them on a baking tray. Bake in a hot oven at 200 degrees centigrade for 10-15 minutes.
As they come out of the oven, pop each one onto a cocktail stick with a small, fresh basil leaf. Serve hot.
