CUPBOARD LOVE : Chocolate Philadelphia

At 2pp or 86kcal for one of these mini pots, this new variety of Philadelphia cheese is an inspiring little bundle of joy!
Obviously, this has to be kept in the 'fridge so forgive me putting it in the 'CUPBOARD LOVE' section, but I'm sure you will agree with me that, once you have tried this and explored its endless possibilities as a dip or cooking ingredient, it will become a basic you will always want to keep in stock for a little treat.

One suggestion I would make is that unless you need a large quantity for a recipe, you buy the 4 small mini 'snap' pots as they are pre-weighed and you are less likely to be over-indulgent!
It features in tomorrow's 'SMASH & GRAB' post, and will appear in numerous future recipes over the coming weeks and months.

***

It has a mildly 'yoghurty' tinge to the flavour which means it is fantastic with savoury items such as cheese crackers or toast, as well as sweet items like fruit or biscuits. From what I have been reading in reviews and forum discussions, I think this product is going to have a similar response to marmite-
"YUM!" or "YUCK!".

It gets a BIG thumbs-uppy YUM! from me.

Just tried a mini pot and all I can say is "YUCK"! Way too sweet for me - I'd rather have Marmite! xx

Chocolate and cheese shouldn't work - but it does! So does cold cooked brussel sprout with cold christmas pud - no really, it does, even though it was found by accident. A christmas melange made in heaven .....

I have to say I've invented and tried some strange combinations in my time and yours sounds like a really odd one! But I won't knock it 'til I've tried it Poppy! x

Always got this in fridge. I melt up to 30g in microwave & cut up fruit & dip it into the melted chocolate for when I want a sweet fix
